These NYC Instagram-Worthy Dishes Are Gloriously Cheesy

Shout-out to Instagram for all these mesmerizing cheese pics!

So, we at HungerPass are a little obsessed with cheese. Can you blame us? It’s everything food should be: It’s gooey, flavorful, and gorgeous to look at, not to mention incredibly versatile. It’s a food that can be added to almost any dish with reliably spectacular results. Meat and cheese? You got yourself a Philly Cheesesteak. Chocolate and cheese? Try some fondue. Ice cream and cheese? There’s a little thing called Cheesecake Ice Cream that you simply need to try.

The point is, there’s no wrong way to consume everyone’s favorite snack, and the restaurants listed below are certainly doing it oh-so-right.

Ahh, Maison Pickle. By far one of the top recognized restaurants in NYC with delicious Instagram food pictures popping up in your feed (particularly late at night when you’re super hungry..anyone else?). This gooey and cheesy dish seen above is the classic Mac and Cheese stable at NYC restaurant Maison Pickle. It’s everything a Mac and Cheese dish should be: Layers upon layers of cheese, noodles, and even more cheese all intermingling to form one comforting and delicious dining experience! If you want to kick this Mac and Cheese into high gear, try it with buffalo chicken and a blue cheese drizzle.

Maison Pickle’s signature dish is the popular French Dip sandwich, including the Deluxe option made with gruyere fondue, which also happens to be two of our favorite words. The restaurant has a variety of reimagined classics to choose from, including the counter-favorite Patty Melt and 24-layer Chocolate Cake (yes, you read that correctly! 24 layers!) So check out Maison Pickle to get this Mac and Cheese in your life, and check out thecarboholic on Instagram for more delectable pics of Maison Pickle’s inspired menu (including that 24-layer chocolate cake we mentioned!)

Would it be ~corny~ or ~cheesy~ of us if we said that this dish made us melt?! One look at this Roasted Corn and Burrata bowl at NYC’s Factory 380, and we were in love. Talk about a food combination we never thought to try; corn and cheese may not make much sense in theory, but in execution–especially if it involves spicy corn kernels and oh-so-soft burrata cheese–you get this Instagram-worthy dish. Served in a bowl or in tapas-form, this cheesy dish is made with truffle oil, ginger garlic crumbs and chives, and Korean chili flakes. The ladies behind oliveyou.nyc have the right idea about this dish–it’s best to eat it all in one sitting!

We can’t praise the versatility of cheese without talking about pizza! Thanks to Instagrammer thisplate.nyc, we’ll be staring at this pizza from NYC’s Cafe Daniello for the rest of the day!

The menu at Cafe Daniello is so vast, there’s a separate menu just for everyone’s favorite cheesy meal. Their Plain Margherita Fresh Mozzarella Pizza, made with a crispy-thin crust, fresh mozzarella, and juicy tomatoes, is the classic pizza you know and love. The Mexican Pizza, topped with ground beef and green peppers, will surely add a kick to your weekday dinner. The Hawaiin Pizza, while controversial to some, combines the savory deliciousness of tomato and basil with the tropical sweetness of pineapple. While pizza toppings may vary from slice to slice, one thing remains the same: Cafe Daniello’s use of fresh mozzarella and other delectable cheeses will have you as star-struck as we are. So will thisplate.nyc’s instagram, which is overflowing with gorgeously cheesy food pics!

Chicken Parmesan at Coppola’s Restaurant

Is Chicken Parm the best kind of chicken? We sure think so, and Instagrammer eats.and.the.city seems to agree. The chicken/cheese/spaghetti trifecta in the photo above can be found at Coppola’s Restaurant on the East Side. If chicken isn’t your thing, there are plenty of other “parmigiana” dishes at Coppola’s to choose from, including Veal Parmigiana, Jumbo Shrimp Parmigiana, and for the veggie lovers out there, Eggplant Parmigiana. That’s a lot of parmesan, but in all honesty who cares? At Coppola’s Restaurant, cheese is a way of life. You’ll find it in their pasta, pizza, and even in their desserts–their Grandma Cheesecake and Chocolate Chip Cheesecake are classic reminders that cheese pretty much goes with everything. Food is also a way of life for eats.and.the.city, whose Instagram pics have us craving everything from cannolis to frozen yogurt to spinach-and-artichoke pizza!
