With only a 20-minute subway ride from midtown Manhattan, the Astoria-Ditmars area is a must see. Home to Astoria park, Silver Age Comics, and Locked, the Ditmars neighborhood is chocked full of things to do. Take a stroll through the park with a cup of tea or adventure through the Brass Owl thrift shop. But you have to make sure to stop by some of Ditmars famed eateries. These are top places to eat on Ditmars Boulevard.

Hands down, if you are looking for Neapolitan pizza, Tufino is the place to go. This family owned pizzeria specializes in truly traditional Neapolitan pizza. So much so that their wood-fire oven was custom designed and handmade in Naples. It doesn’t get more authentic than that. Not only do they offer gluten free and vegan options, but they have some of the best brick oven pizza in Astoria.  With an extensive menu, attentive staff, and a killer San Gennaro Pizza, Tufino is where you should be headed after a day in Ditmars.

This little gem is a Mediterranean bistro-bar located right on Ditmars Boulevard. During the day the Queen’s Room acts as a Café – serving local coffee and brunch with free wifi. But by night it transforms into a full service bar and restaurant. Be sure to try their fan favorites – artichoke dip and mussels. Full of elegant décor, natural light, and charm, the Queen’s room is a perfect spot for a cup of coffee or a romantic setting for a night out on the town.

Tru Astoria serves up a modern twist on traditional Mediterranean and New European food. They have a variety of dishes – all of which change by the hour. They serve breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner, meze, as well as coffee and dessert. There’s no doubt about it – you will definitely find something you like here. However, it’s their bottomless brunch that is famous around Astoria. Come in for their Nutella French Toast or enjoy a cappuccino on their outdoor patio.
